My hospital bag for Rowan’s delivery included everything but the kitchen sink! I read posts and watched videos to make sure I had everything I’d need and only ended up using about half. Plus, there were some things I didn’t packed that I wish I had. Now, my second time around, I know exactly what I’ll be needing and the extra things I can leave at home.
At 18 weeks and one day I had the anatomy scan for our little babe and asked the sonographer to seal the results away in an envelope! Easter fell just five days later and i wanted to find out the news together as a family in a special way!
I’m so glad this isn’t a secret anymore!! We’re just past the first trimester and our due date is early September! The timing couldn’t be any more perfect, because Rowan will start school two days a week in September, plus we can work on potty training and transitioning her into a big girl bed before the new baby arrives. Rowan turns two March 25th, so all of these things fit perfectly in our timeline.
As a first time mom, I was clueless what we’d need for our babe. I remember walking into buybuy Baby, where they make you feel like you need the entire store, and the minimalist in me was more intrigued by what we didn’t need. So I’ve waited to compile my list based on the things we actually use(d) and love(d) and some of the things we could’ve done without. Plus, I’m recommending where to register and why. I hope it’s helpful!
