Easy Ways to Cozy Up Your Home

Easy Ways to Cozy Up Your Home

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween!  We dressed up Bella (our 60 lb English Bulldog) as a spider and handed out candy at home.  It's fun thinking about how we'll have a little this time next year and I'm already brainstorming ideas for our coordinating family costumes!

With Halloween behind us, fall decor will begin to dwindle off the shelves of retailers and be replaced by Christmas decor.  Fall is is full swing and Christmas is just around the corner!  Can you believe it's November already?!

Here are some ideas on how you can subtly transition your home for the change in season and upcoming holidays.  See more from my Fall Home Tour and shop the look HERE.

Cozy Living Room

Pile on Pillows

When I think of fall pillows, I think of simple plaid, chunky knit, rich velvet, and soft faux fur.  Cozy up your living room with plush pillows, just in time for the cooler weather as your family begins to spend more time indoors.

Fall Decorating Ideas

Light Candles

Their warm flicker and yummy scent are sure to create a cozy atmosphere and set the tone for the season.

Entryway Decor with Layered Rugs

Create Layers

Layer with blankets and throw rugs.  Drape blankets across your couch and bed and consider throwing a cowhide over your traditional rug for a diverse look.

Fall Front Porch Ideas

Add Curb Appeal

A beautiful fall wreath adds instant charm and warmth that's inviting.

Natural Elements Fall Decor

Bring in Seasonal Warmth

Pumpkins, pine cones, greenery, leaves, birchwood, branches... Bring the outside in and dress up your table and mantel with natural elements that fit the season.  Take a stroll outdoors and see what you can find—for free!

I'll be back later this week to share my design board for our nursery, but you can always catch the latest from me by subscribing to my newsletter.
