Fall Home Tour
Welcome and happy fall! I feel like I've been wishing away summer for weeks now and although I don't mean to wish time away, it's my favorite season and I'm so glad it's almost here. This Friday, September 22nd is the first official day of fall and I've joined a lovely group of women to showcase our homes decorated for the new season!
If you're coming from Tuft & Trim, thank you for following along! I hope you're enjoying a hot beverage and some down time.
Although I've been ready to welcome fall, the weather in Texas hasn't been quite as eager. I love to decorate our front porch with a variety of real pumpkins, but they haven't hit stores yet, so I decorated with faux ones from HomeGoods in the meantime. I pulled my black lanterns from the back patio and styled them on the front porch along with milk crates from Hobby Lobby to create varying heights.
The first thing that greets you when you enter our home is this bench styled with a faux sheepskin and velvet pillows. I love texture in our home, especially in the cooler months.

I have a neutral loving heart and my fall decor is no different with my choice of white, cream, and shades of blue. I like to add color with fresh flowers and this color palette of orange, yellow, peach, and burgundy remind me of an autumn sunset and give me all the fall feels.
Turn right out of our entryway and enter my favorite space—our kitchen. The place we spend most of our time and gather with family and friends.

With entertaining as much as we do, it's almost an essential in our home and one of my favorite things to decorate... a bar cart! It creates a self-serve station and in this case, guests can serve themselves homemade apple cider—homemade in a Crock-Pot! Find the easy-as-pie recipe here.

I'm most excited to show you my fall tablescape! The carved pumpkin centerpiece is the focal point and anchors the table. I just love this look! The velvet table runner adds texture, while the birchwood brings in natural elements, and the candles and copper create warmth.
The place settings may look familiar, because they're our everyday plates and flatware, just styled a little differently with new dinner napkins that I simply tied in a knot and styled with eucalyptus.

In the living room, I added some oversized plaid pillows, a cozy throw, and styled a basket tray on the coffee table to create a vignette with my favorite candle and newest pumpkins.
The majority of my faux pumpkin collection is from Michael's. They're a good price and come in a variety of colors and styles. The secret, friends, is to snatch them up early!

Mercury glass is and may always be one of my favorite things to incorporate in our home (you'll see a lot more of this in our home at Christmas), so when I saw this beauty at HomeGoods, it naturally found a place in our home.

I transitioned our bedroom for fall with just a few, inexpensive updates. I changed our bedding to this rich berry velvet duvet cover (on sale for $119.99!!), styled pumpkins on our bed tray, and swapped out candles for a cranberry scented one.
