Hot Cocoa Bar Ideas
Nothing says cozy on a cold winter day like warm, chocolaty hot cocoa. We were at the zoo a few weeks back when the weather turned frigid, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some hot cocoa (literally!). Today I’m sharing my bar cart styled as a hot cocoa bar that’s perfect for an upcoming holiday party or a night in with family.
Hot cocoa is easy — you just need hot water and cocoa mix. It’s the toppings that turn it into fun and make it an activity.
Hot Cocoa Bar Toppings

Cinnamon sticks
Crushed mints

Whipped cream
Carmel syrup
Chocolate syrup
When I thought of a hot cocoa bar, what first came to mind was marshmallows, candy canes, hazelnut, caramel, and sprinkles!
I picked up these milk chocolate spoons at HomeGoods and not only were they cute, but the extra dose of chocolate was delish!
The marshmallows are peppermint flavor and from a company called XO Marshmallow, a marshmallow cafe based in Chicago, but available nationally with their online shop. There you’ll find treats for yourself, parties, and events. Such a neat idea for a kids’ birthday party or client gifts! You can see all of their ooey goodness over on Instagram at @xo.marshmallow.
See what items you have in your pantry and then add a few new things to your online shipping cart to create your very own hot cocoa bar to enjoy with friends and family. Sending lots of warmth!
