Halloween Charcuterie Board

Halloween Charcuterie Board

Charcuterie boards are just… pretty! Am I right!? They’re pretty and pack lots of flavor. It’s no wonder they’re a crowd favorite! With Halloween right around the corner, today I’m sharing a Halloween charcuterie board you (and your kids!) will love.

Mostly everything is store bought, making this board easy and quick to put together. Although I wanted it to feel a bit unique so I incorporated homemade Rice Krispies candy corn treats. I followed this recipe by Martha Stewart that I discovered on Pinterest and it was a fun treat to create with Rowan.

First I centered the baby boo pumpkin in the middle of the board then I stacked the Rice Krispies candy corn treats around it. I thought the Rice Krispies were so cute and it turned out they were everyone’s favorite!

Next I added Oreos for contrast visually and lined them up in sync with the Rice Krispies.

I like to work in layers so with the largest items placed first, I moved on to the next largest items like the cookies, donuts and fruit. I didn’t want only candy so I incorporated clementines (with celery pieces as the stems) and apple slices paired with caramel for dipping.

Lastly I used the smallest items like mini marshmallows and peanut butter filled pretzels to fill any gaps. I love the look of a full board!

Tips for Creating a Halloween Charcuterie Board

  • Make the Rise Krispies candy corn treats the night before and allow them to rest in the pan. Having them hardened makes them easy to cut and mold.

  • Soak your apple slices in salt water before serving to prevent them from browning.

  • Assemble your board starting with the largest items first.

  • Use small bowls to contain dips and small candies.

  • Fill in gaps with the smallest items so the board is completely covered.

This was so much fun to create and I loved seeing Rowan’s eyes light up when she saw it! THANK YOU SO MUCH for being here with me. I hope you’ll join me on Instagram too. Keep reading for more Halloween charcuterie board ideas from my inspiring friends!
