Modern Neutral Playroom Design
Our 19-month-old, Rowan, is needing a space to be creative and play freely, and mama needs a designated room to store bulky toys and kid furniture. So we’re taking over dad’s man cave and creating a playroom, which he’s totally OK with. Thanks honey!!
This room will also be a place for guests to stay since our third bedroom will eventually become a nursery, making it every bit functional. I wanted it to be unique from the rest of the house, and I wanted it to feel playful.
Combined Guest Bedroom and Playroom
How to Combine A Guest Bedroom and Playroom
A sleeper sofa all of a sudden turns your casual couch into an extra place for guests to sleep! Sleeper sofas are a lot more stylish than they used to be, but I specifically wanted one that was slipcovered for ease of cleaning. I chose a white fabric that’s stain resistant. You can live with white!
Playroom Rug
Rugs give a space personality, and I finally landed on this one, which I immediately loved. It was the least expensive of everything I was looking at too. Total win!
I’ll be creating an accent wall on the far wall by painting it Alabaster by Sherwin Williams (visually it looks like true white) and adding removable wall decals in contrasting warm gray to coordinate with the other walls.
Check back in a few weeks, because I should have our playroom completed here soon! In the meantime, you can shop my finds below and browse my Playroom Pinterest board HERE.
Have a lovely weekend!
