Kid's Closet Makeover - No Tools Required!

Kid's Closet Makeover - No Tools Required!

Rowan’s nursery is now a big girl room! It’s a bittersweet moment as a mama, but we’re encouraging the transition before her baby sister arrives end of August! I moved the dresser in Rowan’s room to the new nursery which created the need for drawer storage, but I didn’t want to reconstruct the closet or spend a lot of money. I also didn’t want something that looked cheap. Read on to see how I created more usable closet space that looks pretty for under $200!

Cubby storage is inexpensive so it’s a great option for storage, especially for kids! Since it’s freestanding and doesn’t have feet, I wanted to elevate the look and chose well-made woven bins with liners.

The hinge-lid boxes are great for her hair bows and sunnies, and I love that they’re stackable!

I’m realizing keepsakes accumulate quickly, so I wanted ample storage (with lids!) for all of the special things worth hanging on to. Not pictured is an additional top shelf to the right that holds more of these storage boxes.

We’ve been using this space for about one month and it’s working great! Rowan loves to pick out her outfits, so having things at eye-level is important and cubby storage is perfect for this.

I’ll be sharing Rowan’s big girl room soon, and the best way to stay connected is via Instagram or subscribing to my newsletter. Thank you for reading!
